Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE), also known as Dongbei Caida or DUFE, is located in Dalian, Liaoning Province. In 1953, the Central Ministry of Education strengthened and added industrial colleges and appropriately supplemented normal colleges, while appropriately concentrating political science, law, finance, and economics universities. In August 1953, according to the adjustment plan for national higher education institutions by the Ministry of Higher Education, Northeast Business College and Northeast Cooperative College were merged into the Northeast Institute of Finance and Economics.
